Our Allergy Awareness & Emergency Response (AAER) course has been developed in line with Benedict's Law and the latest statutory guidance, equipping staff with the knowledge and confidence to safely support individuals experiencing an allergic reaction or anaphylaxis.

Understanding Anaphylaxis – Learn to recognise life-threatening symptoms requiring immediate emergency treatment.

Emergency Procedures – Understand the correct steps to take during an allergy emergency, including contacting emergency services.

Adrenaline Auto-Injectors (AAIs) – Gain practical experience using trainer devices and understand when and how they should be administered.

Aftercare & Monitoring – Learn what to do after administering an AAI and how to continue supporting the casualty until professional help arrives.

Preventing Allergic Reactions – Explore ways to reduce risks, promote allergy awareness and create safer environments.

How long is the Allergy Awareness & Emergency Response First Aid certificate valid for?
Upon successfully completing the course, learners will be awarded an Allergy Awareness & Emergency Response First Aid certificate approved by the FAIB. This qualification remains valid for one year.
